A twenty five-year-old man of Wailekutu in Lami was ordered to pay a fine of three hundred dollars, for failing to appear at his first court sitting on the seventeenth of July.

Filimoni Takayawa pleaded guilty to one count of absconding bail in the Suva Magistrates Court today and has being ordered to pay three hundred dollars by this afternoon or face incarceration.

Meanwhile Takayawa had been initially reported to police for sexual harassment.

The 21-year-old complainant who was travelling from Nadi to Suva on a public bus sat next to Takayawa who she alleges indecently assaulted her when he touched her buttocks as she got off the bus at her destination.

The alleged incident occurred on the seventeenth of March this year.
