Man ordered to change conduct

A thirty-three-year-old man from Raiwai, Suva was ordered to change his conduct and not to re-offend.

Joeli Raidre pleaded guilty to one count of theft in the Suva Magistrates Court today.

The Court heard Raidre entered the house of a 67-year-old widow, while she was sleeping.

The woman woke up after she heard movement and raised the alarm.

However, the man fled from the scene with over $300.

The court considered that he was a first offender and had been remanded.

He has been sentenced to six months suspended for a year.
