A forty-two-year-old farmer of Savusavu has been sentenced to four years eight months imprisonment for indecently assaulting a seven-year-old girl.

The incident happened in January, this year.

The Court heard the man pleaded guilty to all three charges of indecent assault.

The man was at his family’s home when he called the victim who was playing outside to come and clean his eyes.

When the victim came inside to clean his eyes he indecently assaulted her.

He has a non-parole sentence of two years and eight months.
