A 40 year old man is in custody for stealing the remains of the late Simran Singh – the victim of a brutal attack in Naria Rakiraki last Wednesday.

Police Spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirms that the suspect trespassed into the Rakiraki Lalmitti Cemetary last night and attempted to remove Singh’s ashes after she had been cremated.

He is currently being questioned.

14 year old Simran was attacked as she got off a bus in Naria Rakiraki.

Her father remains admitted in hospital from injuries sustained in the same attack.
