Man found guilty of robbery

A 22-year-old man has been convicted of one count of theft and another of robbery in the Suva Magistrates court today.

On 29th September last year the accused, Tevita Qaqanaivalu broke in to the house of a University Professor in Suva.

The accused stole two Mac Book Air-13 valued at $4,000, a Nokia Mobile phone valued at $200, a video camera valued at $600, assorted hard liquor at $500, a flash net valued at $40 and $80 cash with a total value of $5420.

Magistrate Soma Ratne has adjourned the case for sentencing on November 4th.
