A 44 year-old cane-cutter of Navau in Ba has lost his life after saving his son from drowning.

According to police – the man had gone net fishing with hs family yesterday afternoon when his 22 year-old son was caught in the strong currents.

However – in saving his son…the man was pulled down by the currents.

His son later pulled him out of the water.

He was rushed to the Ba Mission Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
