A man in his 30’s died following a tragic road accident in Nakasi this morning.
The incident occurred at the junction of Vavalagi Road after 7am.
The victim was walking with a 26-year-old co-worker when they were allegedly hit by a vehicle driven by a 30-year-old man who was allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol.

The 26-year-old woman is being treated at the Nausori Hospital while the suspect is in custody at the Nausori Police Station.
Investigations continue.
The road death toll currently stands at 46 compared to 42 for the same period last year.
