A 26-year-old man died at the CWM Hospital in Suva last night after a serious work-related injury.

Police Spokesperson, Ana Naisoro says the deceased was filling air into a tractor tyre in Nakasi when it exploded.

It’s alleged the tyre burst due to excessive air pressure, causing the victim to be thrown from the back of a truck.

Police are investigating.
