A man died after he was allegedly hit by a vehicle along the Kings Road in Varavu, Ba last night.

The victim is alleged to have suddenly crossed the road when he was hit by the vehicle driven by a man in his 40s who was heading towards Ba.

The victim who is yet to be identified is a Fijian of Indian Descent, believed to be between 50 – 60 years of age and is slim built.

The road death toll currently stands at 52 compared to 47 for the same period last year.
