A man is dead after a rental car and a bus collided in Tavua today.

Police say the driver and another passenger who were in the rental car have also been rushed to the Tavua Hospital.

It is alleged that the rental car veered onto the opposite lane resulting in the collision with the bus.

No passenger on the bus was injured.
