A man lost his life in Korotari, Labasa yesterday afternoon after being crushed by timber logs.

Police spokesperson Atunaisa Sukomuri told FBC news the victim was sitting on the logs on the moving truck when the incident took place.

Sokomuri says he fell from the truck with the logs and suffered injuries t his head.

He was then rushed to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Police are awaiting the results of the post mortem as investigations continue.
