Man convicted for raping 15-year-old neighbour

A 29-year-old man has been found guilty of one count of rape and one count of indecent assault.

High Court Judge, Justice Vincent Perera concurred with the three assessors’ opinion yesterday afternoon and convicted the 29-year-old man of Nausori.

The man will be sentenced today.

The man raped his 15-year-old neighbour in Nausori on February 13th last year and indecently assaulted her two months later on April 30th.

He is married with two children has been remanded in custody.
