A twenty-three-year-old man who allegedly raped his fifteen-year-old nephew on New Year’s Day, has been remanded in custody.

The accused is charged with one count of rape and appeared in the Nasinu Magistrates Court.

It’s alleged the victim went to spend his holidays at his grandparent’s place, and the accused was alone at that time, where the alleged offence took place.

The case has been transferred to the Suva High Court and will be re-called on the 19th of this month.
