A 24-year-old unemployed man who allegedly robbed a 56-year-old man at a bus stop in Vatuwaqa, Suva has been charged with one count of aggravated robbery.

The alleged offence occurred over the weekend.

The accused and another friend were standing at the bus stop when he allegedly approached the victim and forced his hands into the victim’s pocket, stealing cash and coins.

The accused is in custody and will appear in the Magistrates Court in Suva, later this afternoon.
