A man charged with one count of act with intent to cause grievous harm appeared before Suva High Court today.

Ledua Naba appeared before Judge Justice Daniel Goundar via a video link conference from Suva Remand Centre.

It is alleged that whilst in remand he burnt a mattress and blanket.

Defence Lawyer Lavenia David told the court that disclosures were not served and the accused was a patient at Saint Giles.

Justice Goundar has deferred the case to 20th September for plea.

Naba was earlier found guilty of one count of unlawful wounding and one count of rape.
