A 25-year-old man is in police custody after he allegedly assaulted a 39-year-old man outside Lautoka.

It is alleged a fight broke between the two when they were cleaning their compounds.

The 39-year-old is admitted in the hospital after he was hit with a mango stick by the 25-year-old man.

In another incident, a man in his 40’s is on the run after he assaulted his wife with an iron rod and she is now admitted at the Lautoka hospital.

Police has advised the public to refrain from resorting to violence during arguments.
