The court heard that on 25th June 2015 the complainant had severe stomach pain and the accused which is her neighbor offered to massage her stomach.

It’s alleged that while massaging her, Naidu raped her.

In his evidence, Naidu told the court that he massaged the woman’s stomach and had told her to go to the hospital.

He had also informed the complainant’s husband of the same.

The court heard that the woman reported the alleged rape six days later and during this time there was an argument between the complainant’s relative and the accused.

High Court Judge Justice Thushara Rajasinghe said that the complainant gave two reasons for her relatives’ presence at her place and that while giving evidence she said she was scared to stay in the house and in cross examination she said her relatives’ came to take her to the police station.

Rajasinghe while delivering his judgement said the complainant’s evidence created doubt and acquitted Naidu.
