Make informed decisions: Police

The Fiji Police Force is once again pleading with parents to make informed decisions when it comes to the care of their children.

The Force says supervision of children must always take precedence.

This follows the death of a 1yr old in a fire yesterday which also resulted in two other toddlers admitted in hospital with burns.

It is alleged the homeowners 21yr old wife had gone to the shop locking the house doors from outside, leaving the deceased and their 2 other children, a 4yr old and 2yr old inside the house unsupervised.

The neighbors managed to save the other 2 by breaking the louver blades.

They received burns and are admitted at the Nadi hospital for observation.

In another incident a house belonging to a 32yr old Carpenter was razed to the ground yesterday evening at Vuci Rd, Nausori.

The fire is believed to have started from a lit candle. No one was injured.
