More developments are expected at the Valelevu Health Centre in Nasinu.

With the recent provision of a 24/7 service, the Valelevu Health Centre is able to attend to a maximum of 578 patients in a 24 hour span.

Health Minister Rosy Akbar says there are plans for further enhancements.

“There are plans to have a new ED which will have a resuscitation room, 4 holding or observation beds, doctor’s consultation rooms, scan room and ambulance bay, at the Valelevu HC. The current Emergency Room will be refurbished to cater for IMCI Clinic and staff rest room/dining room.”

The renovation of the buildings will start as soon as the tender process has been finalized.
