June 24, 2019 4:30 pm

About 20 Non-Commissioned Officers of the Fiji Police Force in Vanua Levu are undergoing three-day management and leadership training in Labasa.

Opening the training this morning, Police Chief of Operations ACP Maritino Qiolevu says the NCO’s will be taught what is required of them.

ACP Qiolevu says they are relied upon to uphold the law and guide the men on the ground.

He has urged the officers to use the training as a guide to step up their conduct and service.

“We have a lot of work to do and the demands keep growing. It may seem impossible at times. But, good managers know how to juggle the resources that they have been given to get the job done and they come up with solutions and not excuses.”

NCO’s are officers ranked from Commissioner to Sergeant.
