There is believed to have been major casualties from a horrific accident in Nabou, Sigatoka this morning.
The accident happened at around 9am.
Images and videos received by FBC News shows major casualties but we are yet to receive an official confirmation from the police.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirmed five passengers are critical and not responding while twenty-five are seriously injured.
It is believed a minivan was on its way to Suva when it hit a truck which was travelling in the opposite lane.
FBC News understands the passengers in the minivan were heading to Suva to watch the Super Deans semi-finals.
Police and National Fire Authority officials are at the site trying to remove the bodies and help other passengers.
