Fijian-born winger Jone Macilai has been ruled out for the rest of the season due to injury sustained in the team’s match against the French Barbarians last month.

According to Planet Rugby, Macilai sustained a knee injury which requires a surgical procedure.

The 28-year-old wing’s return has yet to be confirmed, although the rehabilitation period will be similar to other major knee surgeries and he has been ruled out of the remainder of the Super Rugby season.
