LTA warns car racing drivers

October 4, 2017 4:45 am

Concerns have been raised on a number of car racing and car show events that have been taking place on public roads.

Land Transport Authority Chief Executive, Carmine Piantedosi says they will come down hard on these drivers.

“Drivers that are thinking they can race a vehicle on a public road need to think twice about what they are doing because they are not only putting themselves at risk but any road user and this is usually the public who are walking along the footpaths or are crossing the roads which they won’t be able to stop in time if they are racing.”
