The Land Transport Authority is urging members of the public who witness careless or reckless driving on our roads to report this to the LTA.

They can report using the texting platform 582 or send them an email [email protected].

This comes, as LTA has begun to name and shame drivers who have had their licenses suspended and revoked and will continue to do this as they remove “high-risk drivers” from our roads.

In a statement, LTA also highlighted that evidential standards need to be met before any action can be initiated as these matters can and do often end in court proceedings.

People will also need to provide as much detail as possible including their name and contact details, the day, date, time, location of the incident together with details of what they actually witnessed.

The Authority says that it does not issue Traffic Infringement Notices without the evidential standard being met and does not initiate any action in relation to unreliable reports.
