The Land Transport Authority is working on implementing effective measures of inspections on second hand vehicles.

This after the Authority registered increase in complaints regarding the condition of second hand vehicles at the point of sale.

Chief executive Naisa Tuinaceva says they are concerned that people are venturing into such business and have not registered their interest with authority.

Tuinaceva says consumers while buying a second-hand vehicle should contact LTA for a search on the history of the vehicle.

He says the sale of these vehicles is also subjected to compliance with the Land Transport (Vehicle Construction & Registration) Regulations 2000.
