The Land Transport Authority has signed contracts with four more companies to be the Authorized Motor Vehicle Inspection Agencies.

These companies include Asco Motors Labasa, Carpenters Motors Lautoka, Motorex Nadi and Kia Motors Suva.

LTA board chair, Vijay Maharaj urged the newly authorised agencies to always ensure compliance while conducting vehicle inspections.

Maharaj says the LTA has come a long way in terms of consultations, feasibility studies, benchmarking and setting of required standards in the AMVIA project since 2016.

The Chair says the the Authority’s main goal is to improve its services and decentralize vehicle inspections in order to achieve more efficient customer turnaround time.
