The Methodist Church is reminding all Fijians to reflect on Love which is the meaning behind Easter.

President of the Methodist Church, Reverend Dr. Epeneri Vakadewavosa says Easter reminds not only Christians but all of humanity about God’s inclusive and unconditional love.

Reverend Vakadewavosa adds Christians must stand strong in their faith when faced with global issues of drugs, violation of human rights, rape, child molestation, domestic violence and negative impacts of the internet.

The Reverend is calling on all Christians to take ownership of their faith and practice love and respect, tolerance and understanding.

He adds these powerful values are the reasons Christ was sacrificed.

The church is calling on citizens to work together and take ownership of the environment and initiate proper steps to address climate change and establish a drug and violence free society.

Reverend Vakadewavosa says Christ’s sacrifice sets a platform for salvation, restoration and safety of all God’s creation.

Therefore, he adds, the responsibility for all is to continue the work Christ has started.
