Development in the Northern Division is progressing at a really fast pace, since the inception of the Look North Policy.
Speaking at the opening of the new Fiji Public Service Credit Union office in Labasa, Commissioner Northern Jovesa Vocea says the economy is blooming in the North and investment opportunities are thriving.
Vocea says infrastructural development is a priority for government.
He says government is working very hard to develop both the Nabouwalu and Seaqaqa Township, and the construction of an international airport somewhere between Seaqaqa and Dreketi is also in the pipeline.
Vocea adds the vision of the Look North Policy is to allow people to enjoy the luxuries of opportunities and incentives enjoyed by those in the urban centres.
The opening of the new FPS Credit Union Office now allows for more efficient and timely service to members in the Northern division.
