Students of Lomaivuna High School are making use of the last few days of school in their new classrooms.
The Japanese government today officially handed over three new classrooms with furniture to the school.
The school formally requested the Embassy of Japan for funding assistance after it was discovered that the buildings are in very deprived state which is dangerous to be occupied under the relevant regulations.
The Form 3 classrooms were in worst condition with falling roof and missing floor liners, risking student lives and teachers mobility.
Lomaivuna High School provides education from Forms 3 to 7, to around 325 students from the surrounding areas.
