The Lomaiviti Festival has reached eighty five percent of its target for collection of funds during the four day event.

Organizers are confident they will hit the one hundred and fifty six thousand dollar target.

The people of Lomaviti who are part of this festival say the good Suva weather has helped draw people to the venue.

Festival committee chairman Peni Tora says the main purpose of this festival is to collect outstanding provincial levies and to showcase the culture and arts of Lomaiviti.

Despite a slow start to the festival on Wednesday, the committee is adamant that they will surpass their financial target of over hundred thousand dollars.
