The BulaFM Lomaiviti Festival began today at Foreshore in Suva – one that has been ongoing for the last five years.

Lomaiviti Festival Committee member Joji Qaranivalu says there is a need for people to preserve their culture.

“This year it’s different because we have added another value to it by reviving and consolidating the culture and arts of Lomaiviti that has been an added fabric to what we are going through from today till Saturday.”

Hundreds of people from 12 provinces are participation in the four-day event.

An oratory contest was one of the many activities that the event hosted.

The festival will come to an end on Saturday.
