56-year-old Timoci Lolohea will be sentenced today for murdering his defacto partner last year.

High Court Judge, Justice Salesi Temo yesterday concurred with the assessors that Lolohea was guilty.

Lolohea murdered Elenoa Dicovi on 20th of March, last year at Nasilivata Road in Nadera with two knives.

Dicovi was stabbed twelve times.

Prosecution lawyer, Siteri Navia has sought for a minimum of 30 years imprisonment to reflect the severity of the case.

Meanwhile, Defence Counsel, Lisiate Qetaki has sought for a 15 years minimum term to be served.

Temo said in colonial times, people were hanged for murder.

Lolohea will be sentenced at 12pm today.
