The Fijian and the Australian government are working together in providing educational opportunities for Fijian students.
The University of Newcastle delegates are here in Fiji to offer opportunities for local students to study in their Universities in Australia and the up skilling of staff in the Post Graduate programmes.
They also invited Minister for Education, Dr. Mahendra Reddy to attend their Education Forum and visit some of the special schools they have.
Dr Reddy has requested the University of Newcastle to design a module on how they can effectively train our special education teachers to serve the needs of our special needs children.
A Memorandum of Understanding will be developed later on to establish this long term sustainable relationship.
