International Rugby legend Waisale Serevi, Fiji’s Soccer Captain Roy Krishna and Bollywood Singer Sumeet Tappoo have been appointed by Fiji-based NGO Sai Prema Foundation as its honorary Ambassadors.
Launched in August last year, the Foundation was founded to serve the underprivileged and needy people through Medicare, Educare and Sociocare initiatives.
The Foundation is involved in providing free heart surgeries for children, monthly medical camps in rural villages, regular food distribution to poor families and institutions, monthly blood drives in towns and cities, looking after the needs of orphans as well as embarking upon a new project to help with Diabetes awareness and treatment program.
Foundation Trustee, Rajen Kumar, says the appointment of the three Fiji-born and internationally recognised ambassadors, will help create awareness of the projects of the Foundation to the community and serve as a motivator to both the recipients of the services as well as the volunteers.
