Lifeline Fiji launches crisis helpline

People who need psychological help can now call on Lifeline Fiji’s National Toll free Crisis Intervention Line.

The Intervention Line was launched by Health Minister Jone Usamate yesterday.

Set up by Lifeline Fiji, the crisis line is a long term service which serves the psychological needs of the people of Fiji.

Usamate says in the past few days he has personally met several people affected by the Cyclone and has seen their level of grief.

The Minister says the psychological impact on our children, women and even men who have been through this traumatic experience is of grave concern.
