A statement from the Fiji Police Force said that the 15-year-old girl who was involved in a swimming accident in Levuka over the weekend has been discharged from Hospital.

The incident occurred at the Levuka market bridge where the victim is alleged to have hit her head on rocks after diving into the sea.

She is said to have sustained severe injuries but she is now recovering at home.

The Fiji Police Force is requesting people to take precautions when undertaking any activity and to be mindful of their surroundings.
