The Ministry of National Security and Defence is working with relevant authorities to come up with legislation for the sharing of information.

Ministry’s Director General Timoci Natuva says communication between agencies such as bio-security, immigration, customs, police, the Navy and foreign affairs is critical in protecting our boarder

“Sometimes, the intelligence of the police, they cannot share with other agencies and we are working on how we can make a legislation. This will take a while, but it’s good that we have a start now and we are working on it. Maybe in 12 months or 18 months time, we will be able to do that."
