The National Federation Party and SODELPA will still go ahead and file a legal redress questioning the validity of the 2018 General Election results.

Both parties have told FBC News they are still gathering evidence and the window of filing an appeal within 21 days from the announcement of the final election results is still open.

Despite taking an oath to become an Opposition Member in parliament, SODELPA Leader, Sitiveni Rabuka says the legal redress will still go ahead.

“That continues and this is without prejudice to that depending on our lawyer’s advice on the issue”

NFP Leader, Professor Biman Prasad, says they are also working on the issue and people will have to wait for the outcome.

The Fijian Election Office had earlier confirmed to FBC News that they have not received any application from both NFP and SODELPA.
