Leaders of faith based organisations have picked up the fight to keep the environment clean.
At the end of a weeklong summit on Friday at the Warwick Resort on the coral coast, religious organisations decide to use their networks and get the message across to grass-roots people.
More than forty participants were part of the four day National Faith-Based Environment Stewardship Summit.
Director Environment Jope Davetanivalu says, participants have come up with an Action Plan called the “Warwick Outcome”.
“The Action Plan focuses on many areas like deforestation, littering, waste management, air pollution and the major environmental issues. They came on action plan on how they as members of faith based organization can create awareness towards the protection of the environment.”
Government intends to use the extensive religious leaders have in the community to create awareness about climate change and cleanliness.
