Chief Magistrate Usaia Ratuvili will deliver a ruling on Wednesday on whether the voir dire application for businessman Jagath Karunaratne and SODELPA Member of Parliament, Mosese Bulitavu is to be adjourned.

The two men are jointly charged with the offence of sedition.

Karunaratne’s lawyer, Aman Singh made an application that he wants to challenge this case in High Court because he thinks that the charge is defective and unlawful.

Singh says his client committed the offence in 2011 when there was no lawful government.

Bulitavu’s lawyer, Barbara Malimali supports Singh’s application for high court to make a determination.
