“800,000 at Labasa, 500,000 tonnes here in Lautoka and the balance will be crushed at Rarawai. So far, very smooth start in Labasa and a good start this morning in Lautoka, so this is very encouraging for the coming season.”

The mill began crushing at ten o’clock this morning. It was witnessed by stakeholders, farmers and employees of the Fiji Sugar Corporation.

Rarawai Mill will begin crushing tomorrow, which will complete the season opening for the 2017.
