Lautoka and Rarawai Mills to end crush soon

Cane growers and harvesters in the Lautoka Mill area have about three weeks to harvest all their cane.

The Sugar Industry Tribunal has today announced that crushing at the largest sugar mill will end on November 25.

Cane farmers and harvesting gangs will have to harvest and deliver all their sugar cane to the mill before that date.

The Tribunal has asked the Fiji Sugar Corporation to crush all the cane by Saturday, November 24.

Crushing at the Rarawai Mill in Ba will end next month.

The Tribunal has set December 12 as the last day of crushing at the mill.

Cane farmers in the Rarawai Mill area have until Tuesday, December 11 to harvest and deliver their cane to the mill.
