More than one hundred and fifty people turned up at the Vodafone outlet in Laucala, Suva today to show their support to women diagnosed with breast cancer.

The initiative was launched today and October has been dedicated as Breast cancer awareness month.

Vodafone Manager Human Resources, Maureen Chand says Vodafone Fiji has taken the initiative to engage in a number of activities throughout the month of October.

This is something that we are really passionate about in terms of giving back to the community, creating the difference in the lives of people who are affected by the breast cancer disease. We are also playing our part, being able to raise funds that will be given to the Fiji Cancer Society.

Chand says their first fundraising drive will kick-off on Wednesday.
