The Head teacher of Ono-levu District School in the Lau Group has reminded teachers to keep a close watch on the weather pattern.

ReijeliVakaloloma says that their students have been advised to stay home since yesterday as gusty winds continue to be felt on the island.

“Compared to last night, the wind has calmed down this morning, however we have been alerted, never know the direction of the wind, so its good the teachers are here in school, just to be aware of the wind and weather.”

Vakaloloma says people on Ono-I-Lau are not taking the situation lightly.
