Queens and Kings Road open to traffic

The Fiji Roads Authority has confirmed the Queens and Kings Road is now open to traffic.

Motorists are also advised the debris from the landslide at Korovisilou in Navua has been cleared by the FRA this morning and is open to one lane traffic only.

Police officers from Navua as well as FRA contractors are currently on site monitoring the traffic movement.

Around 600 vehicles were stranded in the area last night however, no injuries were reported.

The FRA has also confirmed Wailoku Road is now cleared and is fully accessible.

However, some of the following roads are closed in the Central Division due to flooding:

  • Colata Cocoa crossing on Colata Cocoa Road
  • Qelekuro Crossing on Qelekuro Road
  • Nakorovou Crossing off Navunisole Road
  • Waimalua Crossing on Waimalua Road
  • Luvunavuaka Village Crossing
  • Nabolau Crossing
  • Naboro Cocoa Crossing
  • Burewai Crossing
  • Nabilo Road
  • Nawiwaivusa Road
  • Nasau Road landslip
  • Waidalice Road land slip

Meanwhile, the National Disaster Management Office says the landslide at Talenaua, Serua has also been partially cleared and is open to one lane traffic only.

However, the Delaikoro Bridge in Korovou is still under water and has been closed to all traffic.
