Lands Ministry embarks on improving services

Officials from the Lands Ministry have been told to speed up the process of lease applications.

Permanent Secretary for Lands and Mineral Resources, Malakai Finau, says this is one issue they are currently working on to improve.

Finau says a lot of their customers have raised complaints on the slow process of land lease approval.

“Our Lautoka Office has come under the spotlight recently but then again it’s the office that has the highest number of leases as compared to other divisional offices and the office is booming is well and there is a lot of activities and we are working very hard to improve our services.”

Finau confirms officials have been advised to ensure that delivering the best quality service to people is vital for the Ministry.
