Lami town works on major developments

The Lami Town is undergoing major developments to provide better service.

Lami Town Council special administrator Jasper Singh says they are currently working on making Lami a major stop over point to the public.

The council is completing the refurbished Tikaram Park which is expected to be opened next month.

Singh says work is also well underway on the Lami’s only sports field –The Johnny Singh Park.

“We also will be developing the Johnny Singh Park which is the only full sized playing field in Lami, it will have a rugby field and we are planning to also have a soccer field, we also begun excavating the embankment and we will be putting up the fence around the park.”

Singh adds new facilities on this park will include a podium and a multipurpose court.

The entire Johnny Singh park project will cost more than 6 million dollars.
