September 6, 2018 4:42 am

After multiple attempts to get Fiji National University Student Association President Ketan Lal to have an interview with FBC news on the allegations and claims made against him by FNU Student Rep, Ilisapeci Tunamena, Lal still refuses to comment.

Lal told FBC news yesterday that he would give us interview today which was to happen this afternoon, however cancelled it in the last minute.

He said that there was supposed to be a press conference this afternoon, for him to reply to the allegations and claims, but has informed us that this will happen next Monday.

Tunamena claims Lal is refusing to give them the FNUSA 2017 financial report as a lot of things he’s done have not been accounted for.

She also claims Lal is corrupt.

FNU Vice Chancellor, Nigel Healey says all the issues that are being raised by Tunamena has been sorted.

However, Tunamena disagrees and says nothing has been sorted since she raised the issue with the registrar on March 12th this year.

Tunamena presented a petition to Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum last week on this matter and is waiting on a reply.
