The Fiji Taxi Association has a new general secretary after the completion of its election.

Ashwin Lal has taken over from Rishi Ram.

Lal polled 100 votes compared to Ram’s 57.

Rabhen Bhan Singh has been elected as the president, while the two new vice presidents are Mahendra Singh and Mohammed Faiyaz.

A total of 158 members out of the 276 reregistered, cast their ballot via postal vote.
