There has been a reduction in the number of sex related cases in the Northern Division.

According to the Northern Crime Prevention deputy chairman, Satish Kumar, the decrease is due to the successful community Policing by officers in the north.

Kumar says they had embarked on an aggressive campaign and education amongst all age groups from the beginning of this year.

He says compared to the previous year- a huge reduction has been recorded for the first quarter of this year.

Meanwhile the Committee will be hosting the Northern Crime Prevention Carnival from the 21st to the 23rd of June.
